Review methodology
Our testing team follows the same sequence for every scored item.
First, we select the listing from a spreadsheet row and record the row reference, the quoted price and the size chart as published.
Second, we order through the agent under comparison, note the payment time, and log each status change until the item checks into the warehouse. That interval becomes the agent's order-to-warehouse figure in the comparison table.
Third, we request QC photos and compare them against the listing photos on a light box: stitching, print placement, colour under neutral light, label text, and measurement of the main dimensions against the size chart.
Fourth, the parcel is weighed and measured on arrival, and we note packaging type, compression and whether the item arrived creased or box-damaged. Shipping estimates in our guides use those measured weights, not the seller's stated figures.
Fifth, fit checks are done on a person matching the size chart's middle range, with notes on sleeve length, shoulder drop and shrinkage after one wash at 30 degrees.
Sixth, results go into a comparison table with the fee sheet and the timing log side by side, and the score is set against our five-point band: 5 excellent, 4 good, 3 adequate, 2 poor, 1 very poor.
