Marcus Vale
Editor in Chief
Shopping-agent fee structures, order-to-warehouse timing, parcel consolidation and haul budgeting
Marcus Vale started out in 2013 writing freight and parcel-forwarding explainers for a Dutch logistics trade bulletin, where he spent four years charting how small parcels move from factory cities to European doorsteps. He moved to consumer e-commerce coverage in 2017 and has been running agent comparisons ever since, building the fee-sheet model CNFans Sheet still uses. He founded this desk in Rotterdam in 2022 after a year of keeping his own haul spreadsheets and realising nobody was publishing the timing data. Marcus writes the agent comparison tables and the shipping-preparation guides, and he signs off every score before publication.
12 years covering this niche
- shopping-agent fee schedules
- order-to-warehouse timing logs
- parcel consolidation and repacking
- volumetric weight versus actual weight
- withdrawal and refund pathways
- customs paperwork basics for EU import
How I test
Marcus builds each agent comparison from a live order placed on the desk account. He timestamps payment, warehouse check-in and consolidation request, then reconciles the final invoice against the published fee sheet line by line, including domestic postage, QC photo charges, reinforcement options and withdrawal fees. He runs the same three-item test order across agents in the same week so the timing figures are comparable, and he re-runs the whole table every 90 days.

Nadia Brandt
Nadia Brandt
Reviews Editor
Apparel fit and construction checks, QC photo interpretation, fabric behaviour after washing
Nadia Brandt spent five years as a garment quality inspector for a Rotterdam importer before moving into editorial work in 2016, first writing fit notes for a Dutch fashion retail blog and then running its sample-testing desk. She joined CNFans Sheet in 2022 to take charge of apparel reviews, and she is the editor who actually wears the items we order. Nadia set up our light-box protocol for comparing warehouse QC photos against listing photos, and she maintains the wash-test log that feeds shrinkage notes into every clothing review.
9 years covering this niche
- size chart verification
- stitch density and seam construction
- QC photo comparison under neutral light
- shrinkage after a 30-degree wash
- fibre content and care labels
- footwear sizing and last shape
How I test
Nadia opens every apparel parcel on the day it arrives and photographs it flat, on a hanger and on a body. She measures chest, shoulder, sleeve and inseam against the published size chart, checks seam density and stitch regularity at four points, and reads every label for fibre content and care instructions. Each garment gets one wash at 30 degrees and is re-measured after drying, with shrinkage recorded to the nearest half centimetre. QC photo sets are compared on the light box for colour, print placement and label text before a score is set.

Tomas Reyes
Tomas Reyes
Research Editor
Spreadsheet catalog verification, listing-to-parcel matching, shipping cost modelling
Tomas Reyes trained as a data analyst for a Rotterdam market-research firm, cleaning product catalogs and matching supplier records across languages. He moved into editorial research in 2018, building verified product indexes for a European price-comparison publisher, and joined CNFans Sheet in 2022 to run the spreadsheet side of the desk. Tomas maintains the row-reference system that lets us trace a review back to the exact catalog entry we ordered from, and he builds the shipping cost models behind our preparation guides.
7 years covering this niche
- spreadsheet row verification and archived captures
- listing drift between catalog entry and delivered parcel
- carrier rate cards and line-haul options
- measured parcel weight and packaging choices
- SKU and label matching
- catalog search and category structure
How I test
Tomas verifies every listing before it enters a roundup: he checks that the row resolves to a live product page, captures the price and size chart at that moment, and records a screenshot with a timestamp. When a parcel arrives he matches the item back to the row by label, SKU and photo, and flags any mismatch as a listing drift. His shipping models combine measured parcel weights from our own orders with current carrier rate cards, so estimates reflect the box we actually taped shut.
