About Superbuy
Superbuy has been running since 2012 and was among the first Chinese platforms built specifically to buy goods on a customer's behalf and forward them abroad. Buyers submit product links from Taobao, Tmall, JD and 1688, Superbuy purchases and receives the goods at its warehouse, photographs them, and holds them for up to 90 days free of charge while further orders arrive. The platform then merges parcels and dispatches them internationally through a large route menu. Its public fee schedule separates product cost, China domestic courier, purchasing service fee and international freight, and it publishes fees for optional warehouse services. A product search tool, the Superbuy Spreadsheet, lets buyers browse and filter marketplace listings before pasting links into the ordering flow. Operations are handled by DOT Technology Hong Kong Limited, and support is offered around the clock in English and Chinese.
Shopping-agent guide
Superbuy works as a two-stage agent: first it buys the item for you in China, then it ships your warehouse haul internationally. That split is what makes it a useful shipping partner for spreadsheet shoppers — you can keep adding finds from a Superbuy-compatible sheet, let them pile up in the warehouse, and only pay freight once the parcel is packed. Stage one is the purchase. Paste a Taobao, Tmall, JD or 1688 link, choose size and colour, and pay the product price plus China domestic courier. Superbuy adds no purchasing fee on those platforms, so the product line matches the marketplace listing. Secondhand sources such as Xianyu cost CN¥20 per item, and unlisted or expert-sourcing orders attract a percentage fee with published caps. Stage two is shipping. When the goods land in the warehouse you get three free QC photos and 90 free days of storage. Use that window to check stitching, hardware and print details before deciding whether to keep an item, request a paid detailed inspection, or return it. Then consolidate everything into one parcel, choose a route in the shipping calculator, and pay a deposit based on estimated weight. After packing and reweighing, Superbuy settles the difference in either direction. Two cautions matter. Removing shoe boxes or tags, and power-on testing, generally block returns, so decide before you submit the parcel. And because freight is quoted per route, always re-check the calculator after packing decisions rather than before.
What works well
  • No basic purchasing service fee on mainstream platforms such as Taobao, Tmall, JD and 1688, with no markup added to the product price

  • Operating since 2012 with stable, well-documented processes and a large English-language knowledge base

  • Free warehouse inspection with three QC photos and 90 days of free storage before you commit to international shipping

  • Free consolidation of multiple warehouse items into one parcel, which often lowers the total freight bill

  • Broad route coverage (100+ lines to 200+ countries) plus a public shipping calculator and published fee schedule

  • Flexible top-ups: cards, Wise, Alipay, WeChat Pay, Bitcoin and regional wallets, with fees disclosed per channel

What to check
  • Storage is free for 90 days only; after that it costs CN¥0.1 per item per day, and items left beyond 180 days are treated as abandoned

  • Secondhand platforms such as Xianyu carry a flat CN¥20 per item purchasing fee, and unlisted or expert-sourcing orders use percentage fees with caps

  • International shipping is charged as a deposit against estimated weight and settled after reweighing, so the final figure can differ from the first quote

  • Optional services that alter an item (shoe box removal, tag removal, power-on testing) usually make it non-returnable

  • Top-up fees vary a lot by channel and regional wallet, so check the fee line before paying

  • Restricted or sensitive goods such as batteries and liquids may only travel on more expensive routes or be refused for some destinations

  • Fee and exchange-rate figures here reflect source data from September to October 2026 and can change

How Superbuy handles a spreadsheet haul
Superbuy is a purchasing agent rather than a marketplace. You never buy from Superbuy directly; you hand it a link and it buys from the Chinese seller on your behalf, then receives the goods at its own warehouse. In our test run we pasted a Taobao link, paid the listing price plus domestic courier with no purchasing fee added, and watched the order move to warehouse status within the platform's normal turnaround. That structure is why spreadsheet finds work well here: any product page you can copy can become an order, and nothing ships internationally until you say so.
Shipping preparation: the part that decides your bill
International freight is the largest variable cost, and Superbuy prices it per route using final packed weight, destination and service level. The charge you see at submission is a deposit based on estimated weight; after the warehouse packs and the carrier reweighs, the difference is refunded or billed. Practical preparation cuts that number: strip heavy shoe boxes, ask for compression or vacuum bags on bulky clothing, use moisture-proof bags for anything sensitive, and compare two or three routes in the calculator after packing choices are locked. Restricted goods such as batteries and liquids can force a pricier line, so check route restrictions for your destination first.
Where Superbuy makes its money
There is no basic purchasing fee on Taobao, Tmall, JD or 1688, and no markup on the product price itself. Revenue comes from international freight, optional warehouse services and top-up channel fees. Secondhand platforms such as Xianyu are charged at CN¥20 per item, while unlisted platforms and expert-sourcing orders use a percentage with minimum and maximum caps. Optional services are listed individually — detailed photography, second inspection, ironing, reinforced packaging, wooden crating and similar — and are only charged when you select them. Our fee figures are drawn from Superbuy's published schedule as of October 2026.
Storage, QC and return windows
Each item gets three free inspection photos on arrival, which is enough to check colour, silhouette and basic construction but not fine hardware or print detail. Paid detailed photography and second inspection exist for that reason and cost less than shipping a rejected item back. Free storage runs 90 days from arrival; beyond that the fee is CN¥0.1 per item per day, and anything still unshipped at 180 days is treated as abandoned. Because alteration services such as box removal, tag removal and power-on testing typically void returns, sequence your decisions: inspect and return first, modify and pack second.
Payments and currency handling
Superbuy quotes in more than one currency and accepts cards, Apple Pay, Wise, Alipay, WeChat Pay, Bitcoin and a long list of regional wallets including iDEAL, Bancontact, BLIK, PIX, PayID, GCash, Kakao Pay and PromptPay. Channel costs differ sharply: in our source data a Wise bank transfer credited at roughly 3.13% above the base rate while cards and Apple Pay carried about a 3.94% surcharge, and several local wallets add their own percentage plus a small fixed fee. Bank-transfer-style top-ups are usually the cheapest route, but confirm the live fee line in your own currency before paying.
How to compare Superbuy against other agents
Judge agents on landed cost rather than headline purchasing fees, because most now advertise zero on mainstream platforms. Compare four numbers for the same haul: the exchange rate applied at top-up, the route price for your destination and weight band, the number of free QC photos, and how long free storage lasts. Superbuy's strengths in this comparison are its long operating history, wide route menu, published fee tables and generous route coverage; its weaker points are a 90-day storage cap that shorter than some rivals and freight that is not always the cheapest on a given line. Run the calculators side by side after weighing, not before.
How to use Superbuy
  1. Step 1 — Find items and submit links
Use the Superbuy Spreadsheet or community-shared finds to shortlist products, then paste the marketplace links into Superbuy. Confirm the seller, variant, size and price on the order screen before paying; the sheet price is a research reference, not a landed cost.
  2. Step 2 — Pay for the purchase
Top up your balance with a card, Wise, Alipay, WeChat Pay or a regional wallet, then pay for the order. Mainstream platform purchases carry no service fee. Optional coupons and points can reduce the merchandise or shipping bill; figures in our source data are dated September 2026.
  3. Step 3 — Inspect, store and add services
When items reach the warehouse you receive three free QC photos and 90 days of free storage. Request paid extras if needed — detailed photos, second inspection, tag or box removal, reinforced packaging, power-on testing — but note that alteration services usually remove return eligibility.
  4. Step 4 — Consolidate and ship
Select the items you want to send, merge them into one parcel, and compare routes in the shipping calculator. Freight is charged as a deposit against estimated weight and settled after the carrier reweighs. Submit before your 90 free days run out; storage past day 90 costs CN¥0.1 per item per day.
